Janus Henderson Investors, a leading global asset manager, partnered with 8 Acre Perspective on the 2nd wave of its annual investor survey. The study focused on the attitudes and behaviors of mass affluent and high-net-worth U.S. investors.
This study was conducted among 1,000 investors aged 25+ with investable assets of at least $250,000. Key findings from the 2024 survey include:
- Politics remain top of mind: The upcoming U.S. presidential election is the foremost worry for investors, and 78% are concerned about the impact of the election on their finances, surpassing concerns over inflation, high-interest rates, or a potential recession.
- AI is fueling financial exploitation fears: 73% of investors believe AI will significantly increase the risk of financial fraud, with more than half expressing concern about becoming victims themselves or having a loved one fall prey.
- Financial literacy is high, but overconfidence looms: While most investors display strong financial literacy, some show signs of overconfidence. Encouragingly, 87% expressed interest in expanding their financial knowledge.
- Advisor satisfaction levels receive high marks: Nearly all advised investors (98%) report satisfaction with their advisor relationships, citing proactive communication, engagement with family members, and robust financial education offerings as key drivers.
This research has been highlighted in publications such as USA Today, Investment News, and Financial Advisor Magazine, among others.
