The Financial Services Institute (FSI), in conjunction with Broadridge Financial Solutions, partnered with 8 Acre Perspective to conduct a study of financial advisors to shed light on growth opportunities within the wealth management industry.
This study of 400 financial advisors found:
- While 92% of advisors report satisfaction with their technology capabilities 83% say better technology tools would greatly improve client acquisition.
- Advisors under the age of 45 cite client-facing tools as the number one area for technology improvement.
- A third (32%) of advisors express interest in prospecting outside their current geographic location and will rely on tech tools to reach prospects virtually.
- LinkedIn and Facebook are the most widely used social media platforms by advisors for both business and personal use.
- 9 in 10 advisors consider it important to maintain a strong relationship with both spouses. Further, advisors say that on average, 68% of formal client meetings include both spouses.
